Amanda Teagle - Terrace Acupuncture

About Amanda

Amanda Teagle, BHSc(Acupuncture) has been qualified since 1996 and holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Acupuncture) from the NZ School of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Amanda is a member of Acupuncture NZ (AcNZ), formerly NZ Register of Acupuncturists (NZRA). Amanda served on the AcNZ Council as secretary for 10 years and after a break has returned as a Member Representative. Amanda holds the portfolio of ACC liaison to ACC.

Amanda is registered as an ACC Treatment provider so can help with those injuries that are covered by ACC.

Amanda is also a member of the Acupuncture for Mental Health Group (AMH). AMH was established by a group of like-minded acupuncturists to raise the awareness of the benefits of acupuncture for those with mental health conditions.

For many years Fertility Associates had a team of acupuncturists on-site offering support treatments to their clients. Amanda was a part of that team and although Fertility Associates no longer offers on-site acupuncture support, Terrace Acupuncture is conveniently just down the road.

Amanda has worked in various medical clinics over the years including Ngaio Medical Centre and The Manuka Health Centre as well as with other Allied Health Practitioners.

In 2017 Amanda completed a Certificate in Advanced Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal.

Amanda has a husband and three sons who have grown up used to acupuncture being the "go to" first choice of treatment.

Want a personalised treatment that is designed for you individually?

Want someone that will really listen to you and hear what is going on?

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Acupuncture and TCM is an ancient medicine and one that has an important place in our modern world. Acupuncture has been practiced for over 2000 years and has evolved into medicine that today is used to help many conditions found in our contemporary world.

Acupuncture has been shown to improve the health and well-being for everyone from babies and very young children to the very elderly.

As well as using standard acupuncture, acupressure or laser therapy is a good option for those too weak or those with a needle phobia

Acupuncture can be used in conjunction with many other treatments. Current research shows that using acupuncture alongside other forms of treatment can enhance the effects.
